A comprehensive selection of social services makes the Institute for Minority Development a leader in programming for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Our services include:

  • Waiver In-Home Support Services: Working together, IMD staff, family and probation officers design individual programs for youth who are involved in committing crimes including: theft, robbery and truancy.

  • Parent Education and Resource Training: Parents learn to how identify and obtain the services needed to support their child’s treatment plan.

  • Case Management: Skilled counselors assess and coordinate delivery of services according to the client’s individual treatment plan.

  • Nursing/Medical Services: Medical professionals coordinate, establish, and maintain primary health care services to promote a lifetime of health, wellness and self-directed care. Psychiatric and Personal Care Attendant services also are available.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Our Training Team works with professionals to enhance their ability to provide culturally appropriate services.
